The honor’s society Beta Gamma Sigma extended an invitation to pay the expenses for a Judd Leighton School of Business and Economics student-member to attend its Global Leadership Summit being held in Orlando, Florida, November 2-5, 2017. Senior marketing major and Beta Gamma Sigma member Christine Hansen will represent the Leighton School at the conference.

“The Leighton School was selected because it has a strong representation of student membership in Beta Gamma Sigma,” said Dean Rick Kolbe. “It’s a testimony to the caliber of our students, their high level of achievement, and the faculty who teach them.” 

Induction in Beta Gamma Sigma, an honor society for top performing business students accredited by AASBC International, is the highest honor a business student anywhere in the world can receive. The Judd Leighton School of Business and Economics has more than 15 students inducted in Beta Gamma Sigma.

At the conference, students have opportunities to network with students, business leaders, and recruiters from around the world. They also participate in communication and leadership development activities and compete in case competitions. “I am very excited to represent the Leighton School at this conference,” said Hansen. “I’m looking forward to coming back and sharing the things I learn.”
